Reaper (Hydra-Flex) Rotating Jetter Nozzles

The Reaper is Hydra-Flex’s rotating sewer jetting nozzle line — built with intense forward-coring action to cut through roots, grease, and other stubborn blockages much faster than a standard static nozzle. The star of the Reaper show is its forward “coring” cone-jet; a sharp stream-jet on a rotor that is rotated internally to form a 24- to 30-degree cone with intense cutting action, and with “scooping” and “peeling” action to remove and push debris downstream. Backed by 3–4 rear jets angled back at 20 degrees for flushing action and hose-pulling power. Every Reaper nozzle is built with a stainless steel housing and durable tungsten-carbide wear surfaces on its internal rotor — designed to outlast ceramic rotor types in daily sewer and drain cleaning of heavy-laden lines. With their simple field repair kits, you can rebuild a worn Reaper nozzle on-site in about 10 minutes instead of stalling the job and sending it out for repair. Different attack styles. The Reaper cuts forward, leading with its rotating front coring-jet to chew into blockages. The Warthog’s smaller coring-jet is significantly less intense, while its rear-jets also rotate with aggressive cutting action on the pull-back with slow, controlled rotation that also scours the pipe wall. Many, many operators run both: Reaper to open the line, Warthog to finish it clean. Compare the Warthog lineup here.

The Reaper is primarily a forward-cutting rotating nozzle built for attacking roots, hardened grease, and other dense blockages. Its forward coring-jet spins in a cone-shaped cutting pattern that intensely attacks the blockage head-on, making it the go-to when a standard penetrating nozzle stalls out. Great question – the answer depends on your jetter’s GPM spec and the nozzle size: The 1/4" Reaper models range from 5 to 8 GPM, the 3/8" Reapers range from 6 to 12 GPM, and the large 1/2" Reapers range from 12 to 25 GPM.  Every Reaper from Jetters Northwest is calibrated to your machine specs, so tell us your GPM and PSI when you order, or reach out and we will size it for you.

Reaper nozzles are manufactured by Hydra-Flex, a US manufacturer specializing in high-pressure fluid handling. Jetters Northwest stocks the full Reaper lineup along with repair kits for every size from 1/4" all the way up to 1” for large Jet-Vac trucks.

The 1/4" model covers smaller 2” to 3” branch lines, the 3/8" handles the common 3" to 6" mains and drains, while the 1/2" is built for 4” to 10” lines. If you are between sizes, give us a call and we will help you pick.

Yes. The Reaper is designed to be rebuilt rather than replaced, and it is arguably the simplest and quickest rotary nozzle on the market to repair. We stock repair kits for the rotary-mechanism for all Reaper sizes and various models, as well as the rear-jet replacement kits for all sizes (except 1/4" models with drilled rear-jets). Front-cutting. The Reaper leads with a forward-facing cone-jet that rotates intensely to cut into blockages face-first, unlike pull-back cutters such as the Warthog or Bulldog that do most of their work on the retrieve. That makes the Reaper a strong first-attack tool on packed lines.
