Rotating Jetter Nozzles

Rotating jetter nozzles have water-jets with spinning-action, rather than only the straight-aimed water-jets of a standard nozzle. Rotating water-jets can create scouring, coring, cutting, and/or dredging action, depending on the nozzle’s particular design. Classic rotating types scour the full circumference of the pipe wall as they travel, while coring types include a hyper-aggressive coring-jet to shred blockages and tough buildup. Premium Warthog and Bulldog nozzles are capable of both scouring and coring simultaneously.  Any nozzle that can actually carve out blockages and tough buildup are rotating types — it’s what separates these from basic fixed-jet static nozzles.

Hose-selection is also important to pipe-size range, but in general 1/8" rotating nozzles cover 1”-3” lines, 1/4" rotators cover 2" to 4" lines, 3/8" rotators cover 3" to 8", and 1/2" rotators cover 4" to 24” (if your jetter have the GPM to support it). If the pipeline size and your machine GPM do not line up, give us a call before ordering.

A rotating jetter nozzle spins its water-jets for more dynamic cleaning-action, especially to attack blockages and buildup that basic “static” nozzles fail to clear. Reach for one any time you need to clear hardened grease, tree roots, loose scale, silt, or heavy sludge. Rotation speed. A basic spinner rotates so fast that its jets quickly turn to mist and lose their impact. A controlled-rotation nozzle like the Grease-Hog, Warthog, or Bulldog slows their rotation down so each water-jet hits harder on every pass, giving much deeper scouring action on tough buildup. It depends on the nozzle size. As a rule of thumb, 1/8" rotating nozzles have flow-range from 1.4 to 5 GPM, 1/4" nozzles range from 3 to 8 GPM, 3/8" nozzles range from 5 to 12 GPM, and 1/2" models range from 10 to 25 GPM.  Pressures range from 1,500 to 5,000 PSI. Most do. Bulldog nozzles by ENZ require no maintenance to their advanced rotating-mechanism, while Warthog nozzles use a sealed bearing system that needs regular viscous-fluid injections (we stock their service kits). Grease-Hog, Reaper, Rotodrill, JETEX and Root Ranger are all low-maintenance workhorses. We also stock rebuild-kits for Warthog, Reaper, Root-Ranger, Rotodrill, & JETEX models, so you can rebuild instead of replace.

Yes, if you match the specs. The 1/8" Grease-Hog is calibrated specifically for electric jetters running 1.4 to 2.2 GPM. Most full-size rotating nozzles need 5 GPM or more to be effective, so they will not perform on smaller electric machines. Shop electric jetter nozzles here.
