The Single-barrel model concentrates all your jetter's GPM and PSI through one offset turbine jet, making it ideal for lower-GPM machines taking on roots, grease, and debris in smaller lines. The Double Ended adds a forward-cutting turbine jet for coring into tough obstructions the Single can't punch through. The Double Barrel runs two rear turbine jets instead of one, doubling the thrust and cleaning power for larger-GPM machines working a bigger pipe.

The Single-barrel's compact profile handles bends well in most residential and light commercial work, which is one of its biggest advantages over larger rotating nozzles. If you're regularly working through tight access points, or needing to steer the nozzle into a branch line, the Single-barrel is the one to have in your kit. The Double-Ended is the longest Root Ranger model; it is designed to navigate 4”+ cleanouts and pass 90-degree sweeps; it may stall in tight turns. The Double-Barrel model is designed primarily for 6” and larger lines, yet it typically has no problem entering via a 4” access. Watch demos on our YouTube channel.

The JETEX is a front-cutting turbine nozzle with a rotating ceramic nose-jet that cores into blockages, and multiple rear-facing thrust-jets to drive it up the line. It's built for 5 to 9 GPM machines running 2,000 to 4,000 PSI, working well as an aggressive penetrator on roots, grease, and tough obstructions before finishing with a scouring nozzle. The stainless steel body with a ceramic rotary insert makes it durable enough for regular field use. Shop the JETEX here.

Yes. We stock repair kits for the full Root Ranger lineup and the JetEx Turbine nozzle. All repair kits include the ceramic rotary insert, ceramic seat, and o-rings – all of which are easy to swap out in the field. Keeping a kit on the truck means you're not losing a day of work over an easy-to-replace worn insert! You can order the JETEX repair-kit here. There are a wide variety of Root Ranger repair-kit orifice-sizes so please message us or give us a call with your jetter’s GPM/PSI specs and we’ll size up the right Root Ranger repair-kit that’s orificed to match your jetter’s output.

The Root Ranger Single-barrel is available for 1/4-inch and 3/8-inch jetting hose. The larger Double-Ended and Double-Barrel models can be configured for 3/8-inch or 1/2-inch hose, making them a solid option for higher-GPM hydro-jetters. Many versions also come with a whip hose leader so you can connect to your existing hose setup. Check the product pages for the exact configuration you need.

It’s a 2-step process: The unique Root Ranger “offset” nozzle-bodies are manufactured by Mustang, then we at JNW add the appropriate rotary head in-house to match your jetter’s GPM/PSI specs. You'll see the Root Rangers listed together under the Mustang brand on our site, since Mustang is the mastermind behind the Root Ranger product line. They've been a go-to root-cutting and joint-cleaning nozzle for years.

Depends on the model: the Single-barrel is built for lower-GPM machines, ranging from 4 to 9 GPM, while the Double-Ended and Double-Barrel models require 7 GPM or more, up to 20+ GPM for high-flow jetters. Pressure capability of 3,000 to 4,000 PSI provides maximum performance, yet higher-GPM “Double” models can operate well on as little as 2,000-PSI. We at Jetters Northwest calibrate Root Ranger nozzle-orifices to match your jetter’s specific GPM+PSI specs, thanks to our extensive stock of Root Ranger orifice kits.
